Feeling "Locked In"? (By Brisa Alfaro)

I believe that we all suffer from similar effects of this Syndrome in our lives. The truth is that I physically survived LIS (Locked in Syndrome). However, I still struggle with it daily in different forms.

How many of us walk around knowing what we have to do, but we feel stuck or locked in and just can’t reach our goals? We see them... but we just can’t seem to reach them. Maybe because of the fear of actually jumping can be just as paralyzing.

The “what if’s” take over; "What if I can’t? What if I’m not good enough? What if I lose everything? What if it’s harder then I thought? What if they don’t like me? What if “xyz” happens?" Etc, Etc...

If we constantly let these thoughts control our lives we will forever be stuck in “someday”. I know it’s difficult to get past these paralyzing fears, but I’m not asking you to put those fears behind you. They will always be there, just know that you have the ability to NOT let them control you. I’m not asking you to step through the door of your desired destiny ...
